The bad news is that at renewal those policyholders with Chaucer, the market leading insurer for preserved vehicles, will be told by their Broker they are to transfer to a different insurer altogether. There isn't an option. In fact, if your renewal date has passed you may already be with a different insurer now.

The Preserved Bus and Coach scheme covers single vehicles or double decker buses/coaches aged 15 years or over with a maximum value of £25,000. They should be used for social, domestic and pleasure including club rallies. Cover is also included for the insured to run a free bus service. Additionally, there are multi vehicle discounts available.

 

The Bygone Bus and Coach scheme compliments our Preserved Bus and Coach scheme by offering cover for Hire and Reward, Private Hire, contract work, weddings and rallies. Cover is available for single and double decker buses/coaches aged 12 years old or over with a maximum value of £35,000.

 

The Classic Commercial Vehicle scheme covers commercial vehicles over 20 years old and up to 25 GVW, including vintage vans, trucks, military vehicles, fire engines, ambulances, breakdown tenders and the like. Cover includes social, domestic and pleasure use only, including club rallies. 

 

These schemes have low excesses and typically cover drivers from 25 to 70 years of age with the relevant PSV licence.

 

Don’t worry if your vehicles don’t quite fit this criteria, we have significant flexibility for the individual client and we have direct access to the Underwriters who can take each customers requirements on their individual merits.
